FORTE DA CRUZ WEDDING, CASCAIS
From our very first meeting – online meeting, because this couple are from Thailand – we connected instantly. Ploy want a fairytale wedding in Portugal, with sea view and I automatically thought of the fantastic Forte da Cruz, in Cascais. I knew it would be the perfect venue for their wedding. They agreed with me and our adventure began, as they would have to decide before seeing the venue in person.
Some time passed until they managed to organize themselves to come to Portugal. Our team took care of everything, we scheduled the necessary trials and the food tasting and we anxiously waited for the big day, when the bride and groom arrived at the venue, for the first time. The day arrive and when I looked into the bride’s eyes, I could see that magic was going to happen.
Ploy and Simeon wanted to create a stunning destination wedding experience for their guests, that would come from all over the world, and nothing could make me happier. Create tree days of experiences and show the best that Portugal has to offer to those who visit us.
On the first day we prepared an intimate dinner in one of the resort’s restaurants, just for the closest family members. On the second day, we challenged ourselves making a welcome cocktail to all guests in a beach bar and the real party begins.
For our Forte da Cruz wedding day design, we chose particular locations to make the big day feel completely unique and special to Ploy and Simeon. We wanted to highlight the architecture of the venue while also complimenting the stunning sea view. So, we placed the ceremony in a perfect terrace with a view of the castle itself and the ocean.
Our team designed a stunning aisle and ceremony backdrop that complimented the lush of this unique castle and would guarantee us that the ceremony will be the most important moment in the day.
The magic continued at the reception dinner hosted at the main room of the venue, where we set luxury chandeliers and suspend greens paired with lush flower centerpieces. And the magic actually happened, when all the guests entered the room and dinner began to be served.
After dinner, our team prepared a majestic cake cutting in the castle tower, followed by a firework display, that surprised everyone.
Because the bride and groom really wanted to provide an unforgettable wedding for all their guests, the party went on until very late with a surprise performance by two very famous artists from Bulgaria, Simeon’s homeland. What a party!
